Weekend Market, Lucerne

Winding along the riverbank and past the famous Chapel Bridge as much a symbol of Lucerne as the dome of St. Peter’s is of Rome, the market supports a vast array of vendors.  I’ve visited the Lucerne market on several occasions and have always n[been impressed with the quantity and quality of the produce for sale.  My favorites are the mushroom vendors and the butchers offering out-of-the-ordinary specialties.  On Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays there is a lively fish market at Unter den Egg and on Saturday an amusing flea market at Burgerstrasse and Reussplatz.
